The Iceland Dance Company collaborated with artists to bring the video projection to life

Sigur Rós have soundtracked a new art installation in Reykjavík. The video projection piece, titled “Örævi,” was created by the Iceland Dance Company, Valdimar Johansson, Erna Ómarsdóttir, and Pierre Alain Giraud. It was projected onto the sides of oil tankers as part of the Reykjavík Winter Lights Festival, which ran from February 1-4. Check out a video of the art installation below. Late last year, during the Icelandic band’s Norður og Niður arts festival, the Iceland Dance Company performed a piece titled “Myrkrið Faðmar” (At Dusk, We Embrace), also soundtracked by Sigur Rós music.
